2月20日，加拿大AI芯片初创公司Taalas发布首款产品HC1芯片，采用“模型即硬件”的创新架构，将Llama 3.1 8B模型直接固化在芯片内，采用30芯片集群时实现每秒12000 tokens的推理速度（实时交互近乎零延迟），较传统GPU方案提升了50倍的能效；另外，Taalas还开发了一个可将任何AI模型转化为定制芯片的平台，接受一个全新的模型后只需两个月就能实现定制硬件。Taalas成立于2023年8月，公司共24名员工，其CEO Ljubisa Bajic曾在AMD、英伟达担任骨干架构师，也是明星AI芯片公司Tenstorrent的创始人。
